Cape Town - The Camphill Village Westcoast Music Festival takes place this weekend.

The line-up includes some of South Africa`s finest musicians. Just Jinjer fans will be happy to hear that they will be performing some brand new songs from their new forthcoming album during their set.

We had a quick Q&A with Beatenberg before this weekend's festivities:

What can fans expect from Beatenberg set at Camphill Village Festival?

We're looking forward to a lekker summer evening gig in our hometown. Doing it for a good cause makes it feel even better.

Does the band have a little ritual that they do before going on stage? Or do you just get up there and do it?!

Well we spend a bit of time warming up if we get the chance. Then we get up and do our best.

What is the funniest or most awkward thing that has happened while you performed?

There have been a few. Recently Rob has been dropping his drumsticks which makes it sound like a crazy drum fill but luckily he catches the beat…

Any news relating to plans for the next few months?

We're working on new music which is a really exciting space to be in. Otherwise we’ll be traveling and performing across the country. Please stay tuned to the gig guide on our Facebook page for updates!
