The Titanic Exhibition comes to Cape Town

accreditation

Cape Town - After a successful Gauteng leg, the Titanic Exhibition is heading to Cape Town, at the Watershed V&A Waterfront, from the 22 November 2015 until March 2016.

Educational, emotional, and appropriate for all ages, Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the life of Titanic, paying homage to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy.

With a number of historic artefacts that have been recovered from the wreckage on display, none of them hit closer to home then the gold pocket watch that belonged to one of the passengers, Thomas William Solomon Brown, a Cape Town native.

Thomas was a successful hotelier who decided to relocate to Seattle where his sister-in-law lived to pursue other business ventures. He was travelling with his family in second class, when tragedy struck.

His wife and daughter were rescued, but Thomas died on the sinking ship and his body was never recovered. "We just want people to come to the exhibition and experience the beauty and emotion these artefacts carry, and we have gone to great lengths to insure that the audience feels like they are in the Titanic," says Nick Dreyer, COO of Expo RSA, the people responsible for the exhibit.

Tickets are available at webtickets and priced for all ages including adults, students, pensioners and children, with special discounts available for groups, school groups and corporates.

In addition there are Titanic Dining Experiences available where the last meal on the fated luxury liner are prepared and served in the Shark Tank in the adjacent Cape Town Aquarium.

Don't forget to like the Facebook page or follow the magazine on Twitter or log onto the website for more information.
