How to nail the no make-up look

2016-12-12 06:01

Whether you’re kicking it on the beach or heading out to the bush, take your beauty cues from these celebrities and embrace the no make-up look. You’ll look fresh faced without having to brave going barefaced.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie always manages to look glam, whether she’s sunning herself in the pool or swimming in the surf. The key is to let your natural skin shine through, and not completely cover it up. A BB or CC cream will even out your skin tone and offer coverage without being as heavy as foundation. Cover up any blemishes or dark circles with a concealer and blend with a foundation brush.

LeAnne Dlamini

One of LeAnne’s favourite destinations is Dubai. Whether she’s indulging in a lavish lunch or hitting the shore with her girls, her look is always effortless. (Serious #MomGoals here!). Channel Leanne’s glow by sweeping an illuminator on the apples of your cheeks, tip of your nose and edge of your chin to give that ‘glow from within’ look.

Joan Smalls

Joan’s pics make us ready to book the next ticket to Bora Bora. If you’re going to spend all day outdoors – especially in the water – don’t forget to apply a good quality sunscreen (and a wide brim hat).

Minnie Dlamini

Minnie recently hit up Plett with her girl squad to celebrate her birthday and they spent most of their days on the beach. If you’re concerned about looking more shiny than glowy you can set your BB cream with a bit of powder, but be sure to shake off excess powder before applying as you don’t want to mattify your look.

Ashley Graham

Ashley is basically a regular in Cancun. Whether she’s working on her tan or working it for Sports Illustrated she always looks ‘put together’ The key to getting this right without looking overdone is mascara. Give your lashes a few coats of waterproof mascara and use your eye lash curler to open up your eyes.

Lorna Maseko

Talk about holiday goals! Lorna knows how to do the bush in style. To accentuate your face and give a natural flushed look use a cream blush as it’ll blend into your BB cream and ensure a dewy finish. Blue-based pinks will be darker and look more severe so opt for softer peach tones.

Jessica Alba

On her last visit to Honolulu Jessica covered up while out and about. She kept her brows defined and went for an understated lip colour. (What we like to call a ‘my lips but better’ shade!) If you want to give your lips a plump then define your lips with a natural lip liner that blends into your lips before applying a moisturising lip balm or stain.
