How to use the DStv Now app as the ultimate TV guide

The DStv Premium magazine has been discontinued, but it’s easier than ever to find out what’s showing with the DStv Now app.

The print version of the DStv Premium magazine used to be a staple on many a coffee table in front of the TV, but the move away from big screens to smaller devices and means there is a better, faster way to find out what’s showing on your favourite channels.

1. Open your DStv Now app.

2. Tap the More button; then go to TV Guide.

3. Select the channel you’d like to see the schedule for, and then scroll down to see what’s showing.

4. If you’d like to watch something that’s showing right now, tap on it, and hit ‘Watch Live’.

5. If you’d rather record it to watch later, tap Record and on your decoder at home.

6. DStv Now also has a big library of shows and movies on demand.  To see what’s available to stream, go to Catch Up.

7. Take the DStv Guide with you wherever you go on your phone or tablet.

How do I get the DStv Now app?

DStv Now is the online version of DStv and with it, DStv subscribers can watch their favourite channels on just about any device. They don’t have to be near their decoder. With DStv Now, you’ll see all the same channels you can on your decoder at home, but on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, computer, smart TV or XBox.

Once you’re registered, download the DStv Now app from the Google Play or Apple App Store and log in to watch.
