Capitec Bank has launched its #LiveBetter campaign, which encourages people to explore new and unexpected places in their cities and Capitec clients enjoy some great discounts too!

It’s all about the vibe - any location can transform itself if the vibe is correct, and Railways Café has this just right.

A converted railway station, from which the Café takes its name, is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Do not go expecting your average restaurant or bar. The venue is trendy, and is a hub for cultural activities. There is a theater on site, a library and an art gallery, it is also a popular venue for music acts to perform at, you can keep abreast at who is performing at any given time with their Facebook page.

The Makers Village where Railways Café is situated also have various art and DIY workshops, and Makers Lab’s creative artists can assist with your designs – from 3D printers to laser cutters.

The food menu has a large selection of delicious pizzas, as well as cheese boards (for sharing) and boneless ribs, Russian skewers and chicken strips amongst their meat menu. All the meals are home-styled with all the meat and vegetables sourced within an 80km restaurant from the restaurant. They strongly promote the slogan of ‘local is lekker’. The bar boasts great 1litre cocktails as well as a selection of craft beers and other drink specials.

They service is also out of the ordinary and worth noting as the employees are encouraged to treat the patrons as family. Although the familiarity takes you off guard, it is what makes you want to return. You feel welcome, and you feel a part of the creative and dynamic energy that it alludes - even if you just want to go out for a drink, catch a concert with a friend, or just find an escape amidst the big city of Pretoria.

Enjoy 10% discount off bills over R100 when paying with your Capitec card until 28 February 2018.
