Cape Town - Steyn Entertainment announced special ticket prices for Superbalist In The City on Wednesday.

The Superbalist in the City concert presented by MTV on Sunday 9 October is now on sale at R285, and the Full Weekend ticket is just R485 (both prices incl. VAT, excl. booking fee).

For everyone who has already bought a ticket at the original price, to thank you for your early support, Superbalist In The City is giving you one extra ticket so you can bring a friend.

This beautiful day festival at Emmarentia Dam features US award-winning indie band Foster the People, hip-hop sensation Mac Miller and beatbox and live loop master Beardyman.

Top local acts Grassy Spark, Shortstraw and Sol Gems have also been added to the line-up. They will kick off the show for what’s sure to be the outdoor daytime festival of a lifetime.

Having previously won Open The City, ska kings Grassy Spark blend rock, funk, reggae and Latin for their legendary non-stop energy performance. Having beat out hundreds of competing bands in 2015 they rightly take their place on the Superbalist In The City stage after an epic year of touring throughout SA, releasing an album to critical claiming and becoming one of SA’s most loved festival acts.

On 9 October it will definitely be bikini weather and who better to create that perfect summer vibe than Shortstraw. With their upbeat indie-pop and quirky stage performance, SA’s favourite tongue-in-cheek crew will bring their energetic show to Emmarentia Dam.

A hands-on approach to creating music, merchandise, and production – sonically and visually - is at the forefront of the Sol Gems vision. Authentic live shows coming from an honest, driven place, leaving fans chanting for more is not a rare sight - Sol Gems’ quest to combine sounds from the past and the future is evident.
