He’s the frontman of one of the biggest bands in South Africa but J Something is so much more than just a sexy singer. He has moves in the kitchen that you have to see to believe. This is a good programme for foodies to binge watch. 


3. Love Back (FPB Rating: 13PG) 

(Seasons 1-2)

Do you have a long lost love that you want to get back? Then this might be the show for you to watch one episode after another, but be warned, the couples involved don’t always get back together. 


4. Isibaya (FPB Rating: 13VL)

(Seasons 1)

This show starring Thembi Nyandeni, Mampho Brescia and Nomzamo Mbatha is one of the most popular dramas in SA with its thrilling mix of romance, crime and mystery. Get ready for edge of your seat viewing that draws you in from the first moment. 


5. Hard to Get (FPB Rating: 16LSDV) 

(92 minutes)

Not everyone likes to binge watch a series so this one is for all the local movie lovers. This movie is about a dramatic and unlikely love story, so if you like a little bit of romance and action this is the one for you. 


6. Cassper Nyovest: Fill Up The Dome (FPB Rating: 13L)

(105 minutes)

This local rapper’s much-hyped (and successful) concert was one of the must-see events of 2015 and established the Doc Shebeleza artist as one of the biggest artists in country. So, if you want to have some fun and dance while you watch, this concert film is the one for you. 


7. The Wild (FPB Rating: 13PG) 

(Seasons 1-2)

This beautifully shot local show tells the story of three families who are brought together because of land. It set the standard for South African TV for years to come and stars Mzansi heavyweight actor Shona Ferguson. Watch this if you want to have a feast for your eyes.
