Cold Case VI – Saturdays (22:30) – starts Saturday 2nd January 2010:
Cold Case returns on SABC2 for the sixth season on 2nd January 2010. Detective Lily Rush continues to uncover the truth as she resolves cases of previously unsolved murders.

Desperate Housewives VI – Thursdays (20:30) – starts Thursday 28th January 2010:
The season starts off with a wedding. Julie Mayer, Susan's daughter becomes the victim of a violent attack, which hospitalizes her and Susan wants answers. Susan discovers Bree and Karl's affair, and, after some arguing, gives the relationship her blessing. The Scavo family is tested by Lynette's unexpected pregnancy with twins. Gabrielle has to put up with Carlos's niece, Ana, who has moved in with them. Ana takes a shine to John Rowland, Gabrielle's gardener and former love interest. There is a new housewife in the neighbourhood but she and her family is filled with secrets.

Moferefere Lenyalong (Repeat) – Sundays (19:00) – starts Sunday 3rd January 2010:
Cherry Blossom farm and guesthouse is the home of true love, but it resembles more of a relationship war zone. Run by Kgosi and Lesego Matlakala and a motley bunch of staff and relatives, the Ficksburg farm not only produces a dubious cherry liqueur, it is also home to a wedding chapel. Weird and wonderful couples come and go, hoping, and sometimes succeeding, to tie the knot. Meanwhile the staff struggle riotously to cope – mainly with each other.

Grey’s Anatomy VI – Mondays (19:30) – starts Monday 18th January 2010:
As this episode begins, time has passed. Everyone at Seattle Grace Hospital is struggling after losing one of their own and is turning to any distraction they can find. Meredith and Derek are consummating their marriage anywhere and everywhere, while Cristina and Owen have been instructed to abstain from sex by Dr. Wyatt. The first episode sets the tone fro a very dark season.

As the summer is drawing to a close, Blair and Chuck are madly in love and adjusting to their new “in a relationship” status, breaking all the traditional rules of dating as would be expected. Serena returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen. Nate returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley in tow; and someone is out to dethrone the new Queen Bee. Expect secrets, lies and love triangles

Alternative Families: The Last Voyage – Sunday 3rd January (21:00):
The exploration of the father and son relationship, as well as the legacy left by the deceased father, along with how socio cultural issues have impacted on this relationship. The film highlights the male issues and the emotional needs of men as well as the complexity of fatherhood. The visuals are also beautiful with the possible landscape and seascape.

Lie to Me II – Fridays (20:00) – starts Friday 8th January 2010
Inspired by a real-life behavioral scientist, this FOX drama tells the tale of a deception expert who helps uncover the truth for the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations, and individuals. Dr. Cal Lightman and his team are effectively human polygraph machines, and no truth can be concealed from them. The Lightman Group is headed by Dr. Cal Lightman and his partner Dr. Gillian Foster who is a gifted psychologist. She brings balance to the partnership by thinking about the overall picture while Lightman focuses on the details. Together they make an invincible team with insight into human behavior.

Flashforward I – Tuesdays (20:30) – starts 19th Tuesday 2010:
Based on the sci-fi novel by Robert J. Sawyer, this series follows the repercussions of a cataclysmic event that knocks out the entire population of the world for two minutes and 17 seconds at the same time, allowing everyone to see several months into their own futures. The series main focus is on a group of characters determined to figure out how and why this unprecedented event took place and how they might be able to change their unsettling futures.

The Manuscript of Timbuktu – Sunday 24th January 2010 (21:00):
'The Manuscripts of Timbuktu' is a 75 minute feature documentary/drama about the history of the Manuscripts and the city of Timbuktu seen through the life of one of Africa’s greatest scholars Ahmed Baba. (Acted by Eriq Ebouaney, who played Patrice Lumumba in the film ‘Lumumba’ by Raul Peck.)
