NBC has announced its new shows airing in the fall in the US (that's autumn to us, but it will actually be spring here). From family comedies to psychological puzzles and naturally, a song and a dance... There's much variety to look forward to.

Here are previews of the most exciting new additions to the line-up.

Starring Katherine McPhee, Debra Messing, Anjelica Houston
There's nothing more exciting than the opening night of a hit Broadway musical, except maybe what happens getting there. Katherine McPhee of American Idol fame plays a young ingenue hoping to catch her break on Broadway.

A provocative new drama about a time and place in which a visionary created an empire, and an icon changed American culture.

It's the early '60s, and the legendary Playboy Club in Chicago is the door to all your fantasies... and the key is the most sought-after status symbol of its time.

Starring Jason Isaacs, Wilmer Valderama, B.D. Wong
Can you wake up from reality? Lots of people find themselves leading some kind of double life... but none quite like this.

Trying to put the pieces of his life back together, he wakes up a few days later to realise that his wife is very much alive and his son died in the accident! Did he lose his wife or his son? Or neither of them?

Up All Night
Starring Will Arnett, Christina Applegate
Life is all about balance. So what happens when you throw a new baby into it?
