TopTV launches in South Africa on Saturday 1 May and promises to bring you quality satellite television at a seriously low price.

How much is the decoder and installation?
The cost for the set up package is R499 (limited offer, while stocks last) and includes:
  • A TopTV decoder (STB)
  • Installation
  • Smart Card
  • Power Supply
  • Male / Female RF Cable
  • RCA Cable
  • Remote Control Unit
  • Batteries
  • Instruction Manual for the STB
(The price after stock runs out has not been announced.)

Where can I buy a decoder?
PEP Stores, Game, Makro and most major retailers will stock the TopTV system from 1 May.

Are PVR or multi-view decoders available?
Not as yet, but a PVR option will probably be available in March 2011.

How many channels are available?

52 video channels and 22 audio channels.

Will more channels be available in the future?
TopTV has plans to add 15 new channels to their offering within the next six months.

Can I have DStv and TopTV?


Can I use my DStv satellite dish instead of purchasing a new one?
No, you will need to purchase the 80cm dish recommended with the TopTV decoder.
