6 super awkward moments in reality TV

The Bachelorette
Don't try to deny that you watch reality TV. We know you sneakily tune the channel to watch the antics of Honey Boo Boo or laugh at a horrible audition on Idols.

Love it or hate it, there is something in reality TV that keeps you hooked, no matter how ridiculous the concept of the show or how callous the contestants. And the more you cringe, the more addicted you get.

Here is a list of six of the most awkward reality TV moments:

1) The Bachelorette
One of the unfortunate gentlemen callers made a failed attempt at wooing the Bachelorette with a song about... helicopters? Her face just says it all.

2) American Idol
The Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey feud has become somewhat legendary, with a veteran diva and a wannabe diva going head-to-head for Supreme Diva Ruler on the judges panel, but this q-tip argument is just plain cringe.

3) The Ellen Show
Gordon Ramsay is known for his food themed reality shows and screaming rages and insults, but what is more awkward for a renowned chef than to cut his finger on a talk show? Plus getting a bandage put on by comedy queen Ellen? Priceless.

4) The X Factor
It's weird to see a young star like Demi Lovato manage to make the Queen of Pop Britney Spears blush after a 'that's what she said' moment.

5) Australia's Next Top Model
What could be worse than announcing the wrong winner on live television? Imagine if this was the American version...

6) SA Idols
The SA Idols archive is littered with embarrassing audition tapes that get replayed and replayed. But one of the worst faux pas one can make is forgetting the words to a song you chose. Unfortunately she ain't no South African Beyoncé.

You probably have a few extra wrinkles now from all the cringing.
