Riaan Cruywagen's memorable moments

2012-11-27 09:44
These Channel24 users all weigh in on what they will remember Riaan Cruywagen for the most:

Craig West: "He was a big part of what it was to be a kid in SA at that time. Even after being away from South Africa for almost 20 years, the name rang a bell like it was yesterday. I wish him all the very best for his retirement, as does probably an entire generation, if not more."

Niki Moore: "I worked with Riaan at the SABC during the 90s, and a more unflappable, courteous, gentlemanly, professional, pleasant and ever-smiling colleague would be hard to find.  We tried every trick in the book to get him to break down and laugh on air, but it never happened. "

Brian Athymoolan: "There were moments of happy moments sad moments, tragic, horrific, and most of memorable moments in all your news broadcasting, but thank the Lord that he kept you strong and gave you the strength to face another day. Enjoy your retirement and thank you for all you shared to the world."

Shirley Scrooby: "Congratulations Riaan for your dedication to the SABC. We will miss your clear voice that we have heard for many a year. All the best for your retirement.  May God Bless you and your family."

Karin Rode: "The one episode I will never forget is when the cat fell off the TV and Riaan found this hugely amusing and couldn't stop laughing. We ended up laughing at him."
