Vuyo was a role model

Vuyo Mbuli Leanne Manas Morning Live
I woke up this morning to put Morning Live on as I have done every single morning for the past 13 years and Vuyo was gone...

Hearing his and Leanne's voice was my wake-up call to get dressed and rush to work but I always ended up being late for work because there was always an interesting topic that they were discussing and I could not pull myself away from them.

This morning was very different because today it felt like there was something missing and all I could see was Vuyo’s empty seat and I broke down in tears, I may not have known Vuyo personally but every day for many years Vuyo woke me up with his laughter and bubbly personality and he became a man I look up to you and viewed as a role model because he was never afraid to speak the truth and always positioned his views fairly and constructively.

I can't help but feel an overwhelmed sadness that has come over me and there can never be anyone who could replace the man with the angel smile... Morning Live will never be the same again and it is sad to know that the man who always put a smile on my face by saying "Sharp Sharp" and arguing with Leanne for not saying it as well will never bless our TV screens again.

Vuyo 'blessed so many souls'

Vuyo may you rest in peace up in heaven above. You have blessed so many souls in so many ways and you will always be remembered for the work you did and for the lives you touched just by being there.

This is a loss that will take years to come to terms with but your family should live with the comfort knowing that you are up in heaven probably trying to uncover all the stories as well as keeping all those angels in line.

You will never be forgotten and your empty seat in studio will always remind us of the amazing man that used to sit there.
