Cape Town – Media mogul Hugh Hefner died on Wednesday at the age of 91.
One of the most prolific people of our time it comes as no surprise that the Playboy Magazine founder also had a television and movie career.
Hefner loved movies throughout his life, calling them "my other family." He screened classic films and new releases at the mansion every week. Every year on his April 9 birthday, he'd run his favorite film, Casablanca, and invite guests to dress in the fashions of the 1940s, AP reported.
He hosted two late night talk shows Playboy's Penthouse and Playboy After Dark. Each show ran for two seasons between 1959 - 1970.
The shows portrayed a "typical" party at Hefner's place, complete with Playboy playmates and celebrities, who would then chat with Hefner and then also perform.
