Cape Town – If I know you well enough, and I do, then you probably binged the second season of You as fast as you could possibly fit it in-between your holiday celebrations.

But 10 episodes of the Netflix hit just aren’t enough for you. You want more, love. That’s why I’m here. I’ve put together a list of suggestions just for you. I know you’ll like them. (Click on the title of the show to stream it online now)

Spinning Out (Netflix)

If Joe taught us anything it’s that an obsession can drive you to the extremes. In this drama Kat Baker’s obsession with getting back on the ice after a fall nearly ended her competitive skating career drives her to some dark places as she battles her personal demons and faces drama both on and off the ice. The perfect follow-up series to binge.

Now Apocalypse (Showmax)

Joe (now Will) finds himself in Los Angeles in the second season of You, and so does Ulysses and his bunch of friends who are awkwardly navigating coming-of-age in The City of Angels. Now Apocalypse also has that dark vibe to it and plays hard on the "paranoid factor". Totally worth the watch if you want to continue with the Los Angeles cool kid vibe.

Messiah (Netflix)

Will he convert you or con you? That's the question being asked in the controversial new show, Messiah, now streaming on Netflix. A young preacher wants to share messages of peace and love, but the CIA isn't so sure of his intentions. Is he good or only pretending to be? Sound familiar, Joe? The Guardian called it Homeland, with a divine twist. Be warned, this is a fictional show that deals with religious themes and isn't suited for sensitive viewers.

If you feel like you need more Penn Badgley in your life after You, then why not return to the old-school Gossip Girl. Some say the character of Joe is just a natural progression of Dan Humphrey into adulthood. Rewatch the show before the reboot hits HBO Max later this year. Be warned, some of the show’s topics didn’t age well with time.

XOXO
