5 of the best group auditions at Idols SA theatre week

Cape Town – The make or break Theatre Week round of Idols SA kicked off on Sunday evening. 

After season 11's disastrous theatre week the judges and contestants vowed to make this season one of the best rounds ever. 

It was a rough start to the week after arriving in chartered planes at the Wild Coast Sun, the first cut happened. 

23 contestants were carted off with their unpacked suitcases. 

With that done and dusted the contestants dispersed into groups and then the 'fun' began. 

It was standard theatre week fair: bad harmonies, group drama and forgotten lyrics.

Here are 5 of the best group auditions.

1. Keegan, Siyakha and Thami totally killed Shai's, And If I Ever.

2. Ntokozo, Roberto and Valentine made Adele proud. 

3. This one was a bit shaky but Noma totally stole the show.

4. Lindokuhle, Simon and Nosihe - there were some really good elements in this rendition of Blurred Lines. 

5. Marce, Shanice and Alicia brought the house down with Worth It.
