5 things we quickly want to tell you about <em>Power Couple SA</em>!

Cape Town – After weeks of teasing the brand new reality show, Power Couple is finally launching on M-Net (DStv 101) on Thursday night (10 September) at 19:30.

Eight brave South African couples will put their relationships to the test through challenges which test their endurance, strength and their trust and faith in each other to compete for the title of SA’s Power Couple and to win more than a million rand in prize money!

Here are 5 quick  facts about the new show

1) A FIRST:

South Africa is the first English language-speaking country to make the show. It is originally an Israeli format, and has been reproduced in countries such as Portugal and Brazil.

2) SIZE MATTERS:

145 crew members in total worked on Power Couple SA.

3) THE CRIB:

The villa where the couples live is in Camps Bay in Cape Town. The villa has 8 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a deck, a pool, 2 braai areas as well as a basketball court!

4) HARD WORK:

It takes the Power Couple SA editing team approximately 100 hours or 12 and a half days to cut one episode of the show from start to finish. This includes editing, music, final mix, grading and graphics.

5) LOCAL IS LEKKER:

The theme song for Power Couple SA was written and composed especially for the show! It’s called Ready Or Not by Tia Black and Kyle Camble. The song was debuted on Power Couple host Ryan O’Connor’s breakfast show on KFM this week, and will be available for download on iTunes soon.

In the first episode the ladies will have to get down and dirty to retrieve their partner's sentimental items, and the guys will have to hang on to their partners for dear life, whilst answering questions about their relationships.
