7de Laan Actress releases brand new single!

Cape Town - The beautiful KB Motsilanyane (38) best known as the fiery lawyer Lesedi Moloi on Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan (2000-current) has just released a brand new single! Oketsa – is a Setswana word that means amplify, increase or give more.

And according to the actress/R&B singer that is exactly what she wants to give her fans. “The song is bold. I sing mainly in English but also combine other African languages like Zulu and Street languages in chant-like style in the background.”

As a permanent cast member on a soapie you can be on set for long hours but KB says she tries her best to keep a balance between her acting job and her music career. “I am not afraid of hard work and will go so far as to work after hours on my songs if I must. Even between scenes when I have a few minutes I will be busy sending out emails and securing meetings for my music interest,” says KB.

Oketsa is available on all the major internet music platforms including iTunes, Tidal and Google Play. So head on over and buy the single for yourself.

We were also curious as to what we can expect from Lesedi’s storyline in the near future now that her revenge plot on businessman Chris Welman (David Rees) is completed.

“Lesedi is glad she made Chris suffer because he deserved it after what he did to her father Jacob (Patrick Shai). But she can’t relax just yet because Chris’s wife Mariaan (Deirdre Wolhuter) might just come after her. And she knows how protective Mariaan is about her family…Sparks will fly,” KB teases.
