New York — Stephen Collins says he's not a paedophile and insists he has inappropriately touched a minor only once.
In an interview with Yahoo's Katie Couric posted online Friday, the 7th Heaven star describes himself instead as suffering from "exhibitionistic urges" and "big boundary issues."
This provoked an encounter with one girl in 1973, he said, when he took her hand to touch him inappropriately. He said he exposed himself to a teenage girl in 1982 and another in 1994.
Allegations of sexual misconduct by the 67-year-old actor emerged in October. He is being investigated by authorities in Los Angeles and New York. He has not been charged.
