Johannesburg – To quote Somizi, Sunday night's Idols episode was "wuuuu shem shem".
Just like the 90s there were a few hits and a lot of misses.
But then again that’s what happens when you let the young’uns loose in the vinyl cupboard. (sorry, not sorry).
The wrong song choice at this stage of the game can really mess up your chances; I'm looking at you Bevin, Sanele, Tebogo and Nosihe.
And as for poor Thami to mess up the lyrics in his first Top 10 performance, not a good start. Team #BringThamiBack will have to stock up on data and vote hard this week.
With that said and done here are my Top 5 performances of the evening.
5. Noma
This wasn’t one of her best performances but she still did enough to get her into the top 5 of this list.

4. Lucia
This is a good example of a great song choice. Lucia was spot on choosing a nostalgic track from Faith Evans. And her vocals were on point.

3. Valentine
I’ll be honest I wasn’t really a Valentine fan (still on the fence) but she did impress with this performance. Best female performance of the night.

2. Keegan
Keegan took us to church and back. He sang with conviction and so much feeling he totally made this Luther Vandross classic current.

1. Terra
Where do I even begin? This performance was everything when he hit those high notes, goosebumps. His performance made up for me missing Tevin Campbell's concert in July.
