Los Angeles – Get ready to freak out. The theme for the new season of American Horror Story has just been revealed and it’s scary awesome.

Mirror houses, creepy clowns and haunted rides are all the things nightmares are made of. Season 4 will bring them all to life.

Speaking in a podcast with Nerdist Panel, writer Douglas Petrie revealed that the new season will take on a carnival theme. According to Petrie it is still a rough idea but a carnival will be the setting.

It seems like fans were right on the money earlier when a range of fan made posters hit the internet predicting a circus/carnival theme.

In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the new season will be set in the 1950s and that Jessica Lange will return.

American Horror Story season 4 is set to be released in October this year.
