Los Angeles - The Big Bang Theory stars have demanded a pay raise.
The cast of the CBS hit show have reportedly refused to sign their contracts for the upcoming season until bosses agree to pay them $1m per episode.
Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are currently locked in a bitter battle with Warner Brothers TV as they are looking for a similar payout to the cast of popular sitcom Friends, which ended in 2004, according to Deadline.
Jim, Johnny and Kaley currently earn a reported $325 000 per episode, and bumping their wage up would make them the highest paid actors on US television, even beating TV favourites Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer from Two and a Half Men.
The eighth season of the show is expected to go into production at the end of this month, but filming could face a delay if bosses and the cast don't reach an agreement within the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, the network recently announced that the long-running programme will continue for another three seasons at least, which means it will stay on screens until 2017, after proving to be such a hit with viewers.
