Vuyo, 46, died in the early hours of Sunday morning after collapsing at the Cheetahs Super rugby game in Bloemfontein on Friday night.
He made his television debut in 1993 and spent the largest part of his career working at the SABC, becoming a popular face on morning shows.
Vuyo's Morning Live co-anchor Leanne Manas paid tribute to her "morning husband" on live TV on Monday morning, telling viewers: "Our thoughts are with his family, his wife, his two children, his friends, his colleagues, and you out there - the millions of viewers out there who watch Morning Live and who have supported Vuyo through his journey and his life."
