Cosmo's sexiest man talks out of the bedroom

Cape Town – Win A Home is an exciting reality series on SABC 3 which follows four design apprentices vying to win Steyn City’s Four D Interior Design Challenge.

Model, actor and Cosmopolitan magazine’s Sexiest Man winner, Maps Maponyane, is host for the development of the designer home which one lucky viewer stands the chance of winning.

We had a quickie with Maps about the show, his perfect living space and what the most important room in the house is.

Channel24:
What are you enjoying most about hosting the show?

Maps:
I’m enjoying seeing and learning more about all the different design elements from an array of expertise that go into a well designed home.

Channel24:
What do you think is the sexiest room in a house?

Maps:
The sexiest room for me is the kitchen. I am food obsessed and I love cooking (I prefer eating a lot more of course) and it’s even better when cooking with a loved one, so that’s probably it.

Channel24:
What do you think is the most important room in the house and why?

Maps:
The most important room in the house is the bedroom. It should be somewhat of a sanctuary for you. It’s not only a place that you sleep in but a space where you can clear your mind and just enjoy your tranquil space.

Channel24:
If you had to choose what would you choose: a cabin in the woods, an apartment in a skyscraper or a treehouse?

Maps:
My lifestyle lends itself towards an apartment in a skyscraper, however I think I would definitely opt for a cabin in the woods.

Channel24:
What’s the best design tip you have picked up so far?

Maps:
There have been a number of great design tips and tricks that I have picked up, however all those that have shown innovative ways of maximising space in a room and showing unusual materials used for certain parts of the home, have been the best.
