Cape Town - The South African tabloid Daily Sun is making a move to television with a unique, twice-weekly show on DStv's Mzansi Magic which will be hosted by stand-up comedian, Kedibone Mulaudzi.
Daily Sun boasts with a readership of over 5 million people, and has established itself as one of South Africa's top-selling daily newspapers.
Throughout the years, the newspaper has set out to pin down diverse content ranging from celebrity news, sports, gossip, political and social issues as well as its infamous and popular Sun Power stories.
Show to contain variety of content
The Daily Sun Show will be aired twice a week and will showcase the diverse content of the newspaper on the show.
The programme will feature the classic stories which the Daily Sun and Sunday Sun have become famous for, but will also contain a variety of news stories.
The newspaper content will be complemented with actual footage from interviews which will be aired on the show.
Content during Tuesday's show will showcase highlights out of the Sunday Sun which concentrates more on celebrity news and gossip, whilst content during Friday's show will set out to round-up all of the past week's best stories featured in the Daily Sun.
The Daily Sun Show will be aired on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) and premieres on Tuesday 16 October at 19:00 and the second episode will air on Friday 19 October at 19:00.
