Generations star's recovery is certain

Johannesburg - Menzi Ngubane is undergoing treatment after being admitted to hospital on August 6.

Sowetanlive.co.za reports that while the Generations producers have not supplied details of Ngubane's illness, sources close the actor told Sowetan that he is dealing with a "liver-related disease".

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Generations team assured fans that Ngubane's condition is on the up.

"The actor is undergoing successful treatment, and his condition has improved considerably.

"While he will be in recovery for the next few weeks, his steady return to health is certain."

Ngubane plays the role of Sibusiso Dlomo-Ngamla in Generations.

The actor joins Isidingo star Hlubi Mboya in a new South African movie called How To Steal 2 Million, in cinemas from September 2.
