Giuliana apologises on TV for controversial dreadlock comment

Los Angeles – E! News anchor and Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic made a public apology on E! News to singer Zendaya.

During the Oscars red carpet special Giuliana commented that the starlet looked like she smelled like pachouli oil while another voice on the panel chimed in "and weed".

Zendaya posted a message on Twitter defending her hair choice which garnered the support of other women in Hollywood including Selma director, Ava DuVernay.

In her apology Giuliana admitted that she crossed the line and that she did not intend to hurt anyone.

Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne has also spoken about the incident.

Kelly took to Twitter to respond to accusations that she made the weed comment.
