Junior Masterchef twins coming to SA

Cape Town - Twin sisters Isabella and Sofia Bliss, who rose to fame after their success on the culinary reality spin-off Junior Masterchef Australia are set to cook up a storm in South Africa at the Good Food and Wine Show in Cape Town.

Isabella took the title of the first ever Junior MasterChef Australia at the age of 12, while Sofia came in the top four.

Since Junior MasterChef, the fraternal twins, now both 14, have gone on to cook with big names like Jamie Oliver as well as publishing their own cookbook, while continuing to tour the world and get other kids into the kitchen.

'Very excited' to visit SA

Isabella and Sofia, who hail from Queensland in Australia, will now be gracing South African shores to host cooking demonstrations and meet fans at the Good Food and Wine Show at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 23-26 May.

They will be cooking dishes from their cookbook A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That and display the cooking skills that catapulted them to fame.

Isabella said Junior Masterchef had changed their lives dramatically: "We got to meet so many people, do so many things and we got so many great opportunities, like this upcoming visit to South Africa. We are very excited about it."

The girls, who were able to make pasta dishes and bake biscuits by the time they were three, will also be sharing their foodie talents in a bid to inspire youngsters to learn more about where their food comes from and how to cook. This, they hope, will help parents and children make better choices about the food they eat and help with rising obesity rates around the world.

Exclusive Gordon Ramsay dinner

Over the past year the sisters have been involved with several charity projects such as Cupcake for A Cure, which funds research for childhood cancer. They have also helped cook up a storm at the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food - Queensland Flood Appeal event and worked with the Starlight Foundation.

Other celeb chefs making an appearance at this year's Good Food and Wine Show in Cape Town include Gordon Ramsay, Eric Lanlard and Bill Granger.

Tickets for the show are on sale at R110 for adults and R55 for kids. VIP packages for the celeb chef demonstrations range from R950 (for Gordon Ramsay) to R580 for Isabella Bliss.

Gordon Ramsay will also be hosting an exclusive dinner experience for R1 500. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the Table of Peace & Unity.
