Laveda and Alusa chat to us about their Big Brother experience

Cape Town - This week's eviction show set a new record and made Big Brother history!

Laveda became the first housemate in the history of Big Brother to have 11 people nominate her for eviction making her the sixth person to be voted out of the house.

Kenyan actor/director Alusa also got the chop from fellow housemates.

We had a chat with the latest housemates to leave the BB house, check out what they had to say.

Laveda

Channel24
Why do you think so many people nominated you for eviction?

Laveda

The obvious reason would be that I was very strong. I am straight forward and I think I showed it very early in the game. They all could see that I am a hotshot, so that must have felt intimidating so they had to get rid of me quickly because they saw that there was a chance I could remain in the game for a very long time. It is also possible that some of them saw how bright I was shining and they felt that I was inhibiting them for bring in the spotlight.

Channel24
From all the people who put you up for eviction, who were you most shocked by?

Laveda
Definitely Luis, I was shocked I mean, I thought him and I were friends. Again it could be that maybe he thought I would survive elimination, which is why he put me up. Or he is just one of those people who smiles in your face and do the opposite when you turn your back. I really hope the reason was not personal, that he was just playing the game.

Channel24:
What is the deal between you and Permithias?

Laveda:
Well, right now as he is inside and I have left the house it’s a little complicated. When I was with him in the house we would just be there and see what develops, so for now it is what it is. I really hope that he stays in the house until the very end.

Channel24:
Are you hoping that you two might pursue something when he comes out?

Laveda:
Am I hoping?! Of course I always hope for good things to happen, but I do not know how things will transpire in the house now that I have left. I do however hope he focuses on his game. But it is very tricky hey. I mean even when I was still there I kept asking him if him and I were just a game, that it was just a thing for the BB house or was it real, so I will never really know until he comes out and we maybe meet outside away from the cameras.

Channel24:
What is next for you and your music, will we be hearing anything new soon?

Laveda:
Not sure if Africa knows this but I have a lot of music out already and they have been playing it a lot in my country during my stay in the BB house. So I plan on keeping on making good music so the rest of Africa gets to hear it soon hopefully. I am very excited and full of energy. I have a lot of things in store.

Channel24:
If you could go back and change anything about your BB experience what would that be?

Laveda:
Oh trust me when I say this, I would not change anything! I leaved, I breathed, I showcased who I really am and I cannot change that. I was being me 100% so if I did anything to offend Africa I apologise for that, but that is just purely who I am and it gets very tricky when that is captured on camera 24/7.

Alusa

Channel24:
What was the highlight of your stay in the BB house?

Alusa:
Meeting all those amazing people, developing good friendships with great people such as Samantha, Ella and JJ and meeting a great guy like Luis, those are some great people man. And of course the tasks that we got to do, I really enjoyed the acting aspect of it as I am an actor by profession and this time I got to play a woman and even if I say so myself I was hot! Hotter than all the women in the house.

Channel24:
About your fight with Tayo, have you let that go or are you still holding a grudge?

Alusa:
I have let it go because I view him as a younger brother. I have 3 sons and he has one. Tayo is a very strong person and a strong player in the game. He is very assertive too, so I just decided to let it go and let him have all the space he needed in the house. There are no grudges to bear. I had and have no problems with the guy. The whole altercation occurred because I felt that he came too strongly at JJ and I felt that I had to step up and tell him off and I think we hashed it out because even the morning after the incident me and him were cool. I hope he thinks so too but you can't really know.

Channel24:
Who are you going to miss the most in the house?

Alusa:
A lot of people hey, but top of the list has to be my boy JJ, I feel that he was my pillar of strength in the house; he really was a great friend to me during my stay in BB house. I will even miss Goitse, even though she put me up for eviction that shocked me as I felt we were also very good friends. I thought we connected on an intellectual level. It really really shocked me when I heard her say my name in the diary room.

Channel24:
Now that you have left the house, what do you plan on doing back home?

Alusa:
I am on a continental level now thanks to Big Brother, the show has put me out there so I plan to exploit that. I do not plan on delving into anything new however; I will still be doing my acting, directing, music and emceeing.

Channel24:
Who would you like to see walk away with the ultimate prize?

Alusa:
I want to see my boy JJ walk away with all that money man because you see, I am guaranteed he will give me something, I have been his friend for a long time, I was his adviser in the house so hopefully I will get a cut if he wins.
