MasterChef SA site hints at elimination

Cape Town - The MasterChef SA website suffered a technical error on Tuesday which may have revealed who will be eliminated in the episode due to air at 19:30 on M-Net.

The MasterChef SA Twitter account invited followers to meet the Top 18 with a link to the MasterChef SA video interviews page. When readers clicked through, the banner image featured 17 contestant images and one greyed-out image.

The greyed-out image was that of 30-year-old contestant Guy Clark.

Ingrid Engelbrecht, MasterChef SA's publicist, said the glitch was not indicative of what is scheduled to take place on the show on Tuesday.

"We are looking into it - it was simply a routine test that was not supposed to be on the live site.

"Viewers should not be alarmed and should please tune in tonight to see who is eliminated," said Engelbrecht.

VOTE: Fluff or faux pas?

MasterChef SA airs on M-Net and M-Net HD on Tuesdays at 19:30.
