Magic return for Oscar

London - Oscar Pistorius is to appear on Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

The Paralympian - who has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who he admits shooting but denies murder, saying he mistook her for an intruder - will be seen taking part in a magic trick as part of the illusionist's tour of South Africa on the third season of his show.

The episode was filmed months before he admitted to shooting dead his girlfriend on Valentine's day.

UK TV channel Watch considered axing the scene featuring Oscar, but have decided to air the footage unless any "major new evidence" comes to light in the South African's case.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It is just a short clip of Oscar doing a magic stunt with Dynamo and is a small part of the overall show.

'Continuing to monitor the situation'

"The episode it is due to feature in hasn't been finished yet and bosses did consider whether it should be cut. But they have decided it will stay, barring any major new evidence that comes to light in Oscar's case.

"But they are continuing to monitor the situation to see if anything happens that would cause them to take it out."

Oscar's appearance in Magician Impossible is expected to air in the third episode of the new series on 25 July, but details of the illusion are being kept under wraps.

The new series - which begins on Thursday at 21:00 on Watch - will also see Dynamo impress several stars including Hollywood legend Samuel L Jackson, Olympian Jessica Ennis and Celebrity Juice presenter Keith Lemon.

The stunt is probably shooting an apple iPhone out of a person's hand through a locked bathroom door.

And then forgetting his 4-digit pin

"who has been charged with the murder" No he hasn't. He hasn't been charged with anything. By the way, if anyone is expecting to see Reeva in it, she wasn't there. When this was filmed, she was out of the country but she was already convinced that they were boyfriend and girlfriend and was trying to convince everyone else that they were. He however ..........

      Patrick Mampane - 2013-07-08 13:44

.......'He however was busy shagging you?'

      Patrick Mampane - 2013-07-08 14:10

'He has not been charged with anything?' So on what charge did he apply ( and got granted) 1 mil Rand bail. You sound hopelessly retarded.

      Sandra Rennie - 2013-07-08 15:51

Candice So if he has not been charged with anything why has he been bailed ?

      Sandra Rennie - 2013-07-08 15:52

Patrick Mampane More than likely ! Have to love your answer ! So apt !

      Jane Brown - 2013-07-08 16:23

Candice, there is a difference with being charged and convicted, he has been charged with murder, hence him being out on bail, if he was not charged he would be free and there would be no pending court case.....

      Candice van der Westhuizen - 2013-07-08 16:45

Patrick Mampane No, hun. If he'd been busy shagging me, he'd have been the one shot. By my husband. Patrick Mampane Not only is the fact that you use the word retarded a measure of your intellect, before you go suggesting that someone doesn't know what they are talking about, make sure that you do. He has been bailed on the offence that he is suspected of - pre-meditated murder - pending enquiries. That's the way it usually works. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's the same for each and every case. A suspect is arrested, remanded in custody, appears in court for a bail hearing, is either bailed or remanded in custody until the trial, a date for a further hearing in which to serve indictments (charge/s) is set and if the state is ready to serve indictments (charge/s), a date for trial is set. The state was not ready to serve indictments (charge/s) on June 4 and, therefore, Pistorius remains as yet not charged with anything. He remains a suspect not an accused. Once indictments (charges) are served, the suspect becomes an accused. Once the trial starts, the accused pleads guilty or not guilty and becomes a defendant. Why the media seems to have a such a problem with distinguishing something so simple is a sad indictment on the standards of journalism today. Sandra Rennie As above. Jane Brown There is a difference between being suspected of and being accused of/charged with. I explained the difference above.

      "Pistorians" its real. OMG!

Try making the case disappear. If the case wasn't so high profile he could have used SAPs own magicians to let the docket disappear.

      Candice van der Westhuizen - 2013-07-08 16:47

      Sadly so very true.

  • Robert Keene - 2013-07-08 20:33

    Has this man no shame?

  • ARTFUL DODGER. - 2013-07-09 12:30

It's a pity that DYNAMO could not turn Oscar into a FROG before he shot poor REEVA.
