2014-11-04 21:00
Cape Town – Let’s be clear from the get go that the new psychological police thriller Stalker on M-Net Edge is not for everyone.

In fact the critics have basically slammed the show calling it exploitative, misogynist and filled with ugly storylines.

We decided to give it a try and we loved it.

If you’re into creepier storylines and policemen and women who cross the lines, then don’t miss it.

Here’s what you need to know about the show.

What it’s about:

Set in Los Angeles the show follows a team of detectives of the LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit who investigate stalking crimes such as voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation. While the team investigates cases they are also dealing with their own private demons. Kevin Williamson best known for The Following, The Vampire Diaries and the Scream movies is the creator of the show.

Who’s in it?

Dylan McDermott best known for his role in The Practice plays Jack Larsen, the new guy who has just transferred from a homicide unit in New York. He has a past that proves to be very valuable in his job.

Maggie Q (Nikita) plays his boss, Lt. Beth Davis. An expert in her field who herself was a victim of stalking.

The rest of the team is made up of Mariana Klaveno who plays Detective Janice Lawrence and Victor Rasuk as Detective Ben Caldwell.
