Things get dirty in quirky new Afrikaans short film

Cape Town – The annual kykNET Silwerskerm Festival kicks off next week on 27 August at The Bay Hotel.

We’ve had a look at the programme and believe us when we say there is something for everyone.

A definite must-see on the short film circuit is the quirky dark comedy, Vuil Wasgoed, starring Leandie Du Randt, Bouwer Bosch, Bernie Fourie, Tim Theron and Simone Nortman.

Two cleaning clerks at a laundromat, Wim and Kevin, make their otherwise dull job fun by trying on their clients clothing.

One day a mysterious man brings in a suit that Kevin immediately likes. He decides to wear it out to a party and discovers a dismembered finger in the pocket. When he returns to the laundromat he finds the mysterious man waiting for him.
