All the deets on Siv Ngesi's new show

Cape Town – Comedian Siv Ngesi hosts and co-produces a new cooking show on SABC 3.

Jou Ma se Chef, is a unique, dynamic fun-filled cooking show, with a comic twist. 

A popular comedian, or celebrity, teams up with his or her mom, to cook a favourite childhood recipe, and compete against other famous South Africans. 

The twist

While baking, frying or grilling, they also have to participate in crazy tasks like karaoke, darts, thirty seconds, and some mom to mom arm wrestling. 

The competition gets real, when they have to add bizarre food ingredients to their precious recipes.

The culinary creations are judged each week, not by a fancy judge, but by an everyday South African food lover. 

Whether a domestic worker, teacher, sculptor or taxi driver, they all have one thing in common, they are ordinary extraordinary South Africans who love food.
