Andrew Lincoln to star in Walking Dead spin-off movies

Cape Town – Andrew Lincoln isn’t done with the Walking Dead just yet. 

Ahead of the premiere of season nine, Lincoln revealed that it would be his swansong.

However, his character Rick Grimes’ story doesn’t end there. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter he will go on to star in three feature length spin-off movies set to air on AMC.

Production for the first film is set to begin in 2019 with former showrunner Scott M. Gimple writing the script.

Speaking about the film Gimple said that they are going to be big evolutions of what they have been doing on the show. 

“We’re starting with the first part of the continuing story of Rick Grimes, and there is much more on the way, featuring yet-unseen worlds of The Walking Dead and faces from the show’s past, as well as new characters we hope to become favourites,” reports Variety.
