The SABC 3’s Real Talk host Anele Mdoda has resigned after spending almost two years on the show. The channel together with Cheeky Media, the production company have accepted Anele’s resignation and thanked her for the tremendous contribution she made to the show.

The star leaves the show in good terms, she says she’s making the move to focus on her career and explore other opportunities. The presenter says she has nothing but gratitude towards the viewers and everyone who made the show possible.

Real Talk with Anele has, since the beginning of season one, been exceptionally close to my heart and I have been enormously proud to work with SABC 3. I feel, for my own growth, it is time to leave the show and to focus on my career ambitions and prospects. I would like to thank SABC3, the viewers and everyone behind the show for the opportunity they afforded me through the show. Hopefully this is not the end but see you later.”

The star will have her last live show on the second Friday of June, and the season will run until the end of October. The show will continue, and Cheeky Media promises viewers a new host that will live up to the standard.
