Bill Cosby is being sued for R3.9m by his defense lawyers – reports

Cape Town - Just a few days after the revelation of comedian Bill Cosby having a hard time in jail, it seems that things are going from bad to worse for the 81-year-old convicted sexual offender.

According to BET, Cosby is being sued by his legal team after failing to pay his legal fees.

The actor allegedly owes Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis approximately  $283 000 (R3.9m) in unpaid legal fees invoiced from August 2017 to July 2018.

The publication reported that the law firm worked for Cosby on a number of legal issues including the charges of Cosby drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple student, Andrea Constand, who was drugged then sexually assaulted by the actor in 2004 in his Pennsylvania home.

Cosby was was recently sentenced to three to ten years in prison for sexual assault.
