Cape Town - Actor and stand-up comedian Bill Cosby may be behind bars, but his legal troubles are far from over. It was reported by BET that the former television host has been slapped with another lawsuit by one of his accusers while he is still serving his prison sentence.

Radar Online has also reported that a request was granted by the Los Angeles judge to the accuser on Wednesday, 27 February, though her additional request to place a $5 000 (R70 000) sanction on the fallen comic was denied.

According to Fox News the accuser whose name is Chloe Goins, first accused the disgraced comedian in 2016 of drugging and sexually abusing her during a party at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 when she was 18 years old.

Chloe is now 28 years old, the model initially accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her at a Playboy party dating back to 2008. But the comedian, who is currently serving time in prison for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand has denied the claims. The Angeles Superior Court Judge, Lawrence Cho has approved the civil lawsuit against him go ahead, reported The Blast.

According to BET Chloe and her legal team served Cosby notices back on October 17, 2018, and November 14, 2018, so his lawyers could conduct a deposition on him at the facility where he is currently serving his sentence but his attorney’s objected the notices, claiming the deposition would be "overly burdensome to conduct."

After her attempt to file an emergency order to compel the actor’s deposition was again denied by Cosby’s attorney’s, it is reported by BET that on 31 January 2019, she filed another motion to depose the 81-year-old actor with the intent on doing so on 22 and 23 April and it appears as if her latest efforts were successful.

BET further reported that during this week's hearing, the judge declared that Chloe’s motion was "filed within the proper time frame." Furthermore, since Cosby's rejection of the deposition had no grounds, her motion should be granted with no issue.
