Brothers who allegedly helped Jussie Smollett stage attack have issued an apology

Cape Town - The brothers, who Jussie Smollett allegedly paid to stage a hate crime attack against him, have issued a public apology through their attorney.

The 36-year-old was charged with felony disorderly conduct, a charge that could bring up to three years in prison and force the actor to pay for the cost of the investigation into his report of a 29 January beating.

Abimbola "Abel" and Olabinjo "Ola" Osundairo released a statement to CBS Chicago Thursday, saying that they felt "tremendous regret" for being involved with the situation.
