Cape Town – Hot on the heels of taking the number two spot as the sexiest accent in the world Afrikaans made a cameo in the new season of Lucifer.
Season 4 dropped on Netflix on Wednesday, and everyone is talking about the demon Maze's language Lilim.
Sharped eared viewers quickly recognised that actress Lesley-Ann Brandt is speaking Afrikaans.
In the scene in episode 1, Maze is having a session with psychotherapist, Dr Linda Martin (Rachel Harris).
Dr Linda tells Maze that perhaps it would help if she spoke her language.
To which she responds in a distorted voice: "Kan jy vir my verstaan wat ek praat? Want ek wil saam met jou praat." (Can you understand what I am saying, cause I want to talk to you?)
