e.tv adds 2 hour Afrikaans content block on eExtra

Cape Town – e.tv is rolling out more Afrikaans content from Monday, 1 October in a two-hour programming block between 19:00 and 21:00 on the eExtra channel.

The latest offering includes a news bulletin and a Turkish telenovela dubbed into Afrikaans.

This comes just before the launch of e.tv's new free-to-air 24-hour TV news channel OpenNews on 1 November.

The entertainment will kick off at 19:00 on eExtra (Openview 105/ DStv 195/ StarSat 489) with the hour long Gebroke Harte, a Turkish telenovela dubbed into Afrikaans.

The show centres on two women, Gülseren and Dilara, who had their babies accidentally switched at birth. Gülseren lives with her "daughter" Hazal, and Dilara lives with her "daughter" Cansu – and then their paths cross again.
