The publication further reports that it will not be a traditional reboot and that writers/executive producers Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini who worked on the CW 90210 remake will steer the show.
On Thursday TMZ spotted four of the actors having coffee and reportedly out on meetings to pitch the show.
According to the publication they met with executives from Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
The original series aired from 1990 to 2000 and became a pop culture sensation it also starred Shannon Doherty and Luke Perry.
