Cape Town – Friends fans, your dreams are about to come true, well kind of.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast and the creators of the award-winning comedy are in talks to reunite for HBO Max.
Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc are in talks to do an unscripted reunion special for the HBO streaming service set to launch in May 2020.
In June Netflix lost the entire catalogue of seasons to HBO Max.
The publication further reports that the special is far from a done deal and if it gets the green light coordinating schedules would be a challenge.
TVLine reports that it won’t be a revival of the comedy.
In 2016 five of the cast members reunited for a special to pay tribute to veteran director Jim Burrows. (Read more here)
The sitcom is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
