Cape Town – Ashlee Simpson is making her return to the small screen.
The Pieces of Me singer will star in a new docu-series on E! with her actor husband, Evan Ross.
According to E! Online the show titled ASHLEE+EVAN “will follow the couple as they juggle their lives as soul mates, parents, musicians and artists.”
About her small screen return she wrote on Instagram alongside a trailer for the show: “We can't wait for you to see our new show, Ashlee+Evan, premiering September 9th at 10/9c on @eentertainment!! Big music announcement coming soon!! (sic)”

Ashlee is no stranger to reality TV, she first appeared in her sister, Jessica Simpson's show Newlyweds and then went on to have her own show, The Ashlee Simpson show on MTV in 2004-2005.
After the birth of her first child, Bronx in 2008 she took a step out of the limelight to focus on motherhood. In 2011 she divorced from rocker Pete Wentz.
Ashlee and Evan, who is the son of Diana Ross, tied the knot in 2014 and in 2015 they welcomed a daughter Jagger.
The new series will premiere on E! in the US on 11 September.
