Cape Town – Netflix has released a first look at Tobias Menzies in season three of The Crown.
Menzies takes over the role as Prince Philip from Matt Smith for the upcoming seasons that will be set in the 60s and early 70s.
The image was shared on the show's official Twitter and shows Prince Philip standing in Buckingham Palace. It was captioned, "Ambition".

Speaking about his role, Menzies said he is thrilled to be joining the cast and working with Olivia Colman (Queen Elizabeth) again.
The pair previously co-starred together in The Night Manager.
"I look forward to being her liege man of life and limb," said Menzies.
Other new cast members include: Helen Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson, Josh O’Connor as play Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne and Marion Bailey will play the Queen Mother.
Season three will premiere on Netflix in 2019.
