SECRETS OF THE ROYAL BABIES
Wednesday, 29 May at 20:00
Secrets of the Royal Babies tells the extraordinary tales of Royal births, motherhood and infancy, and asks what Meghan might reasonably expect from this next stage of her life. With insight, expertise and insider anecdotes, this one-off special spans four generations of royal births. Kate Middleton's pregnancies captured the public's attention, but the arrival of Meghan Markle's baby is set to take interest to stratospheric levels. With contributions from Royal raconteurs including commentators, eminent historians and members of the aristocracy, along with the finest archive footage, ranging from grand state celebrations to intimate home movies, the film explores 100 years of bringing up baby. This is the fascinating story of raising Royalty from pregnancy to parenthood and how this has evolved across the generations. For example, in 1948 the Queen's pregnancy was not formally announced whereas 70 years later the Royal pregnancy was announced through social media.
