Cape Town – The award-nominated series, The Sinner is back for another season.
The second season of the anthology follows a shocking new story.
Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) returns to his hometown in rural New York to investigate the murder of two people by their 11-year-old son (Elisha Henin) with no apparent motive.
During his investigation Ambrose meets a "mysterious woman who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle,” reports TV Line.
Carrie Coon (Fargo, The Post) joins the cast as Vera.

Jessica Biel who starred in the first season returns as executive producer of the show.
The first season of the show was well received by critics and has a 94% rating on RottenTomatoes.
Season one received two nominations at the 75th Golden Globe Awards: Best Miniseries or Television Film and Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film for Biel.
