Cape Town - Jodie Whittaker stars as the first female Dr in the brand new series of Doctor Who and the BBC has just given a preview of her tenure.

The actress made her first appearance as the character in the Doctor Who 2017 Christmas special. 

In the first teaser we met the Doctor’s three new companions played by Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill and Bradley Walsh.

Jodie is the 13th incarnation of the Doctor, a galaxy-hopping Time Lord who travels in the Tardis, a time machine shaped like an old-fashioned British police telephone booth.

Season 11 will be exclusively on Showmax, express from the UK, every Monday from 8 October 2018.
