Johannesburg - Karen Zoid’s popular Afrikaans talk show, Republiek van Zoid Afrika, kicks off on kykNET tonight.
In the first episode of the fourth season Karen’s guests include Afrikaans actors Armand Aucamp and Christo Davids and singer Ard Matthews, with whom Karen will also perform at the end of the episode.
“This season’s compilations have more of a rock vibe,” says Karen.
Like before, after each episode, the compilation will be available for download in the Apple iTunes store. With previous seasons, Karen has achieved tremendous success with these songs – often hitting number one in the South African iTunes store.
The latest season also has a new time slot and will be broadcasted on Tuesdays at 20:30.
Republiek van Zoid Afrika has received numerous awards such as a SAFTA for best talk show, while it also scooped up two awards at the Huisgenoot Tempo awards too.
