Cape Town – Leslie Jones is saying goodbye to Saturday Night Live.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedian will not return for the shows 45th season. The publication reports that she has decided to leave to focus on her upcoming film projects and a Netflix comedy special.
The 51-year-old joined the cast in 2014 and made frequent appearances in the mid-show 1 news segment where she commented on politics and social issues, reports CNN.
In 2017 and 2018 she received Emmy nominations for the outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.
